The First Descendant is a free-to-play action game set in a dystopian future. A malevolent alien race is targeting humans, and an elite group known as The Descendants is responsible for protecting humanity. This platform has been developed with the fifth generation of the Unreal Engine.

The First Descendant is a four-player co-op game, so users must work together to progress to higher levels and defeat increasingly powerful enemies. Likewise, upgrades and equipment enhancements are offered as players ascend through the ranks. Additionally, the game presents as a cooperative RPG shooter in the third-person perspective, boasting high-quality graphics.

Highly customizable characters

This game is quite flexible in terms of its characters. Players can choose from a handful of protagonists in accordance with their unique skills. Modifying elements, such as battle skills and appearances, is also possible. The developers claim that more options will be added in the future.

Single-player capabilities

The Descendants is primarily intended to be a four-player cooperative game. However, it is still possible to use a single character. The only issue is that missions will be much harder to complete in this manner.

Powerful rewards await

Characters can be equipped with up to three primary weapons and four types of secondary equipment bundles. Sub-weapons and further accessories will be obtained throughout the game. These can be obtained by clearing single-player missions or multiplayer World Missions. Weapons may also be combined to obtain even more strength. It is important to note that this game is now in open beta test and active development.

Crossplay open Beta test

From Sept. 19 to 25, 2023, the cross-platform Open Beta test of The First Descendant will be available for free on various platforms, including PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. Participation in this open beta is available to all players who complete the registration process on the Nexon website. Moreover, those engaged in this open beta phase will have the opportunity to acquire exclusive beta rewards, which will carry over to the full game experience.
