Third-person cooperative RPG shooting platform

The First Descendant is a free-to-play action game set in a dystopian future. A malevolent alien race is targeting humans, and an elite group known as The Descendants is responsible for protecting humanity. This platform has been developed with the fifth generation of the Unreal Engine.

The First Descendant is a four-player co-op game, so users must work together to progress to higher levels and defeat increasingly powerful enemies. Likewise, upgrades and equipment enhancements are offered as players ascend through the ranks. Additionally, the game presents a cooperative RPG shooter from a third-person perspective, boasting high-quality graphics.

Highly customizable characters

This game is quite flexible in terms of its characters. Players can choose from a handful of protagonists in accordance with their unique skills. Modifying elements, such as battle skills and appearances, is also possible. The developers claim that more options will be added in the future.

Single-player capabilities

The Descendants is primarily intended to be a four-player cooperative game. However, it is still possible to use a single character. The only issue is that missions will be much harder to complete in this manner.

Powerful rewards await

Characters can be equipped with up to three primary weapons and four types of secondary equipment bundles. Sub-weapons and further accessories will be obtained throughout the game. These can be obtained by clearing single-player missions or multiplayer World Missions. Weapons may also be combined to obtain even more strength.

Endless endgame

The developer of The First Descendant has just revealed that the game will feature extensive endgame content comprising several activities to keep players engaged. Among these are three distinct activities accessible upon completing the main story. The first is the Infiltration missions, which serve as challenging variants of the main story quests. These missions are available in both normal and hard difficulties, featuring a range of modifiers to increase challenge and rewards.

The second activity is Special Operations, centered around combat-focused tasks with three distinct mission types available for players. Lastly, Void Intercept Battles will immerse players in intense boss battles set in a dedicated arena. Each formidable boss boasts a unique attack pattern that demands strategic gameplay and coordination with other players. Effective teamwork and collaboration are the key elements to achieving victory in Void Intercept Battles. Moreover, players have the opportunity to unlock additional Descendants characters and acquire ultimate weapons.

There’s a new Operation Type called “Invasion Dungeons.” It is an end-game mechanic where at random, two Infiltration Operations will be chosen daily as an “Invasion,” and instead of the usual kill-centric scoring meta, these dungeons reward more on efficiency. The faster you hit the finish line, the more rewards await.

Additionally, Freyna is set to receive an upgrade, which will introduce her own story quest that every player can play and experience. In the pre-season, only Bunny has an exclusive story quest that was tied to her. Freyna’s questline will follow the same path, which tells the story of the “Room 0 Incident” in detail.

Aside from that, Hailey is the new chill-based Descendant who will be making her way to Season 1. Her battle kit looks to be a hybrid between Sharen and Viessa, with a storm snare and a signature anti-materiel rifle that substitutes as a laser cannon.

A seasonal mechanic called “Inversion Reinforcement” will give players various stat boosts on their characters as they carry out seasonal goals. As with any seasonals, Inversion Reinforcement will reset at the end of Season 1, meaning it won’t carry over to the next season.

Players can also redeem Inversion Reinforcement points using the Ironheart Particle, a new obtainable object from Invasion Dungeons and sometimes from Hard Field missions. You can unlock all of them as per progression requirements, but only three can be active at a time. Collecting all points of a type will grant a “Collection Effect,” which is a passive buff that lasts throughout Season 1 — allowing you to have a maximum of three Inverse Reinforcement effects selected from the table, and five additional Collection effects.

Season 2 Episode 2 Update

In this update, The First Descendant rolls out a fresh story, a new lead character, a brand-new field, a crisp Void Abyss Intercept Battle Colossus, and a never-before-used growth system, providing users with exciting new gameplay experiences and challenges. This new main story, ‘Beyond the Void,’ succeeds the end of Season One’s storyline, following the catastrophic end of Ironheart in the Fortress region.

The story centers around the new Descendant named Serena, a flame-wielding, first-generation Descendant who specializes in firearms trapped within the confinement of the Sigma Sector, who crosses paths with the Descendants upon awakening her when they execute their operation in the said realm. Together, they embark on a journey to confront Vulgus General Karel and his secret weapon to cease his century-long scheme.

Meanwhile, the Sigma Sector boasts two new matchmaking-supported fields called Broken Boundary and Isolated Desert, which are segmented into two difficulty zones based on the storm level. One of the zones is classified as Normal Difficulty, which is marginally more challenging than Hard Infiltration Operations on max difficulty. The other zone is the High-Risk Difficulty, which is more intense than Infiltration Operations at 400% difficulty.

The new growth system, Arche Tuning System, is a configuration that optimizes players’ builds, making it a perfect progression system for the new Void Abyss Intercept Battle Colossus called Tormentor. This monster is an electric-based variant of the Executioner colossus that can move through the map in a void-like state, making it a challenging enemy. However, it is vulnerable to poison.

Other aspects of the update include a new fellow, Vespers Hunting Dog, with auto-loot and auto-dismantle features, new weapons (such as Malevolent, Ancient Knight, A-Tams, Truly Deadly Arson), customization updates, log-in events, new products, and more.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?
